The Goedde Family Session

Nicole and Clark are MARRIED!! Woohoo!!!  These two tied the knot on a BEAUTIFUL summer day surrounded by their family and friends in Ferdinand, Indiana.  It was the definition of the perfect day in every way…lots of love, giggles and sweet memories to last a lifetime!!!😍  Read alllll the fun details in Nicole & Clark’s featured Q&A below and keep scrolling to see a sneak peek of their magical wedding!✨

What BIG lesson did you learn throughout your engagement?

“To not stress every small detail- those do not matter. Also to delegate tasks to friends and family members to take off some stress!”

Tell us a bit about your wedding!

“Colors of our wedding included dusty blue, super blue, greenery, and white flowers accented by gold mirrors and gold table decorations (candles, towers, etc,). Our wedding took place at Ferdinand Catholic Church and then moved to Ferdinand Community Center for the reception. We had a modern romantic vibe and it was absolutely perfect!”

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

“We couldn’t pick just one- but definitely included our first look, Nicole walking down the aisle, and our first and last dance together. Everything was so romantic and perfect. It was literally the best day ever!”

Did you go on a honeymoon?!

“We went to a Sandals resort in Barbados!”

Favorite honeymoon memory?

“We had SO much fun on our honeymoon and trialed so much new food, drinks, and excursions! Our favorite was probably snorkeling with the sea turtles and through ship wrecks. It was interesting to learn all the history and amazing to see!”

Did you two do a first look? Why or why not?

“YES! We 100% recommend! We wanted to calm our nerves by seeing each other and spend the majority of the day together, which a first look allowed this.”

What’s next? What are you two planning on tackling next in life?

“We already have our next house renovations planned and will begin working on them asap! We also joined  a summer soccer league with Eli Lilly. We want to spend time with friends and family and soak in newly wed life together!”

For the bride: What are three things you love about your groom?

“Clark is the sweetest human I know. He loves me in such a big way and shows his effort daily. Anyone that knows us (including friends, family, and even my patients) can attest to this. He is literally an answered prayer. I truly love how much effort and thought he puts into planning our date days, spontaneous adventures, surprising me, making me breakfast every single morning, and even sending me sweet messages/letters. He is the absolute hardest worker I know in all aspects of his life.

I also love how much he cares for those that are important to me. My family and friends are super important to me and will always be. From day one when we first started dating, Clark has went above for both my family and friends. He helps with anything and everything, is always there to cheer them up or be present when he is needed, and supports family or just girl time. I can’t rave about him enough.

I love how he knows me better than I even know myself. He can finish my sentences, know what I need before I even know it, makes sure I have food before I get hangry (ha!), and so much more. He is truly the type of man I have always dreamed of marrying.”

For the groom: What are three things you love about your bride?

“I love how hard working and dedicated she is. She did so much planning and organizing and everything else, not only for the wedding, but throughout our entire relationship together. I am not sure how she always finds the time or the energy to do everything, but I am forever thankful that she does.

I love how she always supports me no matter what. Even during the long and aggravating house projects, she is always cheering me on and helping however she can. Or when I come up with crazy, spontaneous vacation ideas like going to the West Coast for a week when the plane takes off in 9 hours. She is always down for the adventure with me.

I love how easy she makes life and how much we have grown together already. I am not sure how she does it, but everyday with her is better than the last. We both have grown and experienced so much together already (multiple jobs/cities, long distance, house hunting in this crazy market, etc.) and we continue to grow our relationship through common interests, and trying new things. I love her so much and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her. Thank God I’m Yours, hunny.”

Bride, who was the most helpful in helping you pull off your dream wedding?

“My mother and mother-in-law were rocks for me while planning. My mother took care of all phone calls/emails during the day so I could focus on my patients while at work. Both of our moms ran errands, directed, and took charge of anything I asked, plus kept me sane. We truly have the best families!”

Advice for other couples who are planning their own wedding right now?

“Make weekly/monthly lists of things you can get done early in advance before the big day to make the week of less stressful. Clark and I are both super type A and this helped wedding planning go a lot more smooth + kept us organized!”

Did anything hilarious/unexpected happen?!

“Clark and I “Iced” each of our bridal party members when we asked them to be in the wedding. The bridesmaids got to “Ice” the boys on the dance floor on our wedding day as a last minute decision! The girls had a lot of fun with this and were glad to be the ones doing it! :)”

What is something unique you incorporated into your wedding?

“My mother collaborated with our decorator and surprised me with pieces of her veil in my bouquet. It made it so much more sentimental and sweet.

Clark and I also did an Anniversary dance instead of the bouquet toss and gave the longest married couple a second bouquet- it was sweet to see their reactions!

Lastly- we did a last dance together just the newly weds on the dance floor. It was super sweet to share our last moments of our wedding day just us and we will remember it forever!”

First dance song?

“Yours by Russell Dickerson”

Ceremony music?

“Katie Gullquist sang various pieces including: (Marry Me, I’ll Be, Ave Maria, Thinking out Loud, and A Thousand Years, + more), accompanied by Traci on the piano.”

How big was your wedding party?

“6 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen, 1 flower girl, and 1 ring bearer”

Reception dinner: buffet or served?

“Buffet by Ferdinand Processing”

Reception: open bar or cash bar?

“Open Bar”

What dessert did you serve at your reception?

“Gluten Free Cake and Red Velvet, Chocolate, and Vanilla Cake”

What was your favorite part of working with B&B?

“The organization of the perfectly planned emails to keep us organized, the effort they put into discussing plans and ensuring everything is perfectly planned for the day ahead of time, the effort they give to keep the day on track and according to the itinerary, and the love they give throughout the entire wedding day and process of planning! We cannot recommend Bret and Brandie enough! They were the first vendor we contacted after nailing down our wedding date because we knew we had to have them, and we couldn’t have been more excited to have them be such a huge part of our day!”
